Pittsburgh, PA Multi-Service Supply, a division of The Buncher Company is now hiring.
A successful candidate would be reliable, self-motivated, have a strong sense of personal responsibility and the ability to trouble shoot problems. This is a daylight position Monday through Friday, with the opportunity for occasional overtime.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Disassemble and clean valves and components, which may include using tools such as hand tools, torque wrenches, power tools, and wire wheels
- Inspect valves and components for signs of wear or deficiencies
- Reassemble valves and torques parts to Association of American Railroad (AAR) specification
Qualifications
- Previous mechanical experience strongly preferred. Additional training will be provided
- Perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Use measuring devices such as tapes and gauges
- Competence to apply critical thinking skills to logically identify problems
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs. throughout an 8-hour shift
